The Waterline Chair is part of the Zendo Collection, designed in collaboration with Studio Proba. The base is made from peach tinted glass with an undulating “waterline” as it’s top edge, layering over and visually submerging the velvet upholstered top.
In Flora Perman (used for Flora Lamp), the decoration is not interpreted but comes from nature itself. Here, the flowers are “frozen in time” and machined in order to reveal the complexity and intricacy found in the cross section of flowers, the curve of petals, and the structure of leaves. Contrasted with white resin they appear as veins or fossils creating an almost stone-like quality.
Flora Temporaria has a painterly quality, reminding one of the Flemish paintings or a dark pond, in which the inflorescence sits just below the water’s surface, mesmerising with silvery tones of colour and form.
Similar to the dramatic transformation and the sudden change in the animal’s body structure, Metamorphosis Side Table experiences new unexpected design techniques and noble finishes through a meticulous artistic process.
The centre table is composed of two fragments, finished in mirror and noble marble and beautified by the presence of golden creatures that are prepared for their ultimate metamorphosis.
